How it all started
Published by Diet Trials January 11th, 2006 in Paul McKenna SkyOneWell you may have been like me on Monday night (9th Jan 2006) sat watching Sky One waiting for the Paul McKenna – I Can Make You Thin programme. I had seen plenty of publicity for the show and had thought how great it would be to find the answer to all of our problems…well all the people who have suffered like me with a weight problem for as long as I can remember. But as with each diet craze that is released it is never the true solution.
I have been, what we can call as overweight for many years. I do however suffer from an under active thyroid so that is part of the cause… but not the whole reason. Probably the main reason for being overweight is my love of food and beer. So, not much different from the rest of you out there. I don’t take much exercise, a lot of that is due to motivation, energy levels, and due to that I normally spend up to 10 hours a day sat at work on my computer.
So after having come to the end of 2005, I had already set in my mind that I would be on a diet and shed the extra weight during 2006. I would say that I need to lose about 3 stone…2 stone and I would feel so much better about myself. I may look too thin if I lost 3 stone…(I’m big boned you see!) Let’s get the stats out of the way… 6’ 1” and 18 stone. Those of you not familiar with the imperial method of working, that’s about 114kg.
