I do not have a medical background so I am only stating my opinion. As for whether it is easier for men or women to lose weight and who is likely to maintain the weight loss, that's hard to say. I generally think that it all depends on the individual and how they tackle the change of lifestyle. Dieting used to be about willpower but the Paul Mckenna diet is very much about changing the brain, and once that is altered then hopefully it stays with you. Hi Mary

Just watched programme on TV about obese people-WOW!! thought we had problems.Heaviest woman weighed in at 85 stone--BMI 186.4. She lost 65 stone but it did take 10 years and she hasn't put it back on.Congratulations to her. A man who appeared on Terry Wogan show many years ago had lost 50 stone in only 19 months( BMI 121.5 )and weighed in at 14 stone. Now the question I ask is 1/ it easier for men or women to lose weight? 2/ are women more likely to maintain their weight loss? 3/ is it better to reduce weight slowly? Well, not to be. That has really made me more determined to lose at least 2 stone then I should be ok. BMI actually 30.9 and I'm not tall like you!! Would like to find out more about hypnosis but it does frighten me a little, can anyone really reassure me?
