Another Pound Lost
Published by Diet Trials February 21st, 2006 in Losing weight, Week 7It’s the start of Week 7 and I have lost another pound. I am now 17 stone and 6 pounds. I am feeling really happy with myself that I am losing weight and generally feel much better. I know that I shouldn’t keep weighing myself so regularly but my scales keep working even though I haven’t yet replaced the dying batteries.
I have found that in the last week or so I have stopped myself a number of times from over eating or eating when I am not hungry. I still haven’t had the chance to listen to the hypnosis CD again which I need to, but I am in control of food.
I have bought myself the other day an all singing, all dancing, digital camera as I have always been interested in photography. I am aiming to use the camera to make me do more exercise while finding the perfect shot. Yesterday instead of just walking to town for lunch from the office I made sure that I walked the scenic route to get some good photos. I have already been down to the canal side this morning to catch a good shot with the sun just starting to shine. Next I’ll be climbing a mountain to get a great lansdcape shot…who knows!

Well done at losing another pound. You have really kept me inspired and this latest tool to help exercise is really fantastic–what a cool idea! Why not take it to New York and in the breaks instead of going to get a beer and a bagel filled with pastrami instead go and photo the sights and post them on your site in 2 weeks time!!
Hi Mary
Yep I will be taking my new camera to New York with me. I went there about a year ago and it is a fantastic place. There are loads of awesome buildings that would make a great shot. Plus its a huge place so i’ll get plenty of exercise. While I’m away I intend to keep up with the blog so that I can keep reminding myself of what I need to keep doing to lose weight.
Well done at losing another pound and keeping at it!!
Have been paying lip-service to the rules this last week or so - s’not easy when i spent the week with my v. -ve mother who constantly repeated “so you’ve given up on this one too have you?” AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!
Still lost 6, Put on 4, lost 2 in 5 weeks That’s still a loss, right?
Enjoy NY and keep us all posted
Hi Helen
What you need on this diet, like any other diet, is support from friends and family. If people are expecting you to fail before you even start it makes it all the more difficult. Is there anyone that you could do the diet with that you see regularly? This always helps. The Paul McKenna diet is a slow weight loss programme anyway so the amount we are losing can be at times disappointing, but in 6 months hopefully we will be getting there.
I feel at times that I should perhaps go on a crash diet like the Atkins to shed the mass of weight then stick to the Golden Rules to maintain the weight that I have lost. Not sure though??
